The context
Close enough to understand the actual job.
- Problem
- Good training advice often arrives in the wrong format. Athletes still have to translate documents, spreadsheets, or chat output into each training platform by hand.
- Users
- Endurance athletes, coaches, and self-coached racers
- My role
- I founded the product and own the full stack: product definition, UX, integrations, billing, infrastructure, support, and iteration with paying users.
Product decisions
What I chose to make true.
- Treat plan execution—not generic coaching content—as the core job to be done.
- Support structured imports and direct publishing to the tools athletes already use.
- Expose the product through MCP so an athlete can work with an AI assistant without losing their actual training data.
- Build monetization and support into the product early enough to learn from paying behavior.
What shipped
The useful part, not the pitch.
- Shipped plan importing, structured workout creation, a workout vault, calendar publishing, platform integrations, and a paid product.
- Created a practical AI workflow with a 26-tool MCP surface instead of adding a decorative chatbot.
- Reached real revenue and recurring subscriptions within the first months of monetization.
